After experiencing one of the most adrenaline-rushing adventure sport – Paragliding in Bir, we decided to head towards Manali, the honeymoon capital of India. And thus our crazy roadtrip on the beautiful roads of Himachal Pradesh continued. Driving through Mandi, Kullu, and several smaller districts we reached at Manali in about 5 hours. Manali is about 160 kms away from Bir.

We found a good hotel to stay near Manali to relax for the night. The temperature was dropping and we could already sense the excitement of playing in snow the next day. The next morning the view from our hotel balcony was more breathtaking than Palampur. We visited Hadimba Temple and had our breakfast at a café situated on Mall Road. We especially searched for a café with television so that we may not miss action of the India vs Pakistan World Cup 2015 match. As Rohtang Pass was closed we decided to go to Solang Valley.

The journey to Solang valley was an adventurous one with beautiful scenery and snow on both the sides of the road. A week back only Manali had witnessed fresh snowfall which was evident from the path. After parking our car a few meters before Solang Valley, we trekked for the rest of the path.
The first view of Solang Valley was refreshing and all we could see was crowd, snow, paragliders and jorbing balls. We bought ourselves a pair of gloves and jumped into the snowfield.

We tried our hand at skiing, although the endeavor was not very successful. Sliding down from top in snow was an altogether a different level of fun. Before leaving the snow field, we decided to make a snowman.

After changing our clothes, we had our dinner at a local restaurant. We left Manali in night only and decided to go to Kasauli. We drove all night through rough roads, sometimes going on wrong routes.  It was an adventurous journey. I was feeling sleepy and somehow luckily found a tea shop midway. We had our dinner at a dhabha near Mandi. We reached Kasauli in the morning at 7 am.
As soon as we reached Kasauli, it started raining heavily. Somehow we searched and managed to find a hotel to take some rest from our long, tiring and thrilling journey.

Luckily on this road trip, we stayed in hotels which have some mind blowing views from their balconies. Kasauli is a cantonment area in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, so you could hardly doubt about the cleanliness of the place.

We went to Monkey Point, the highest point in Kasauli. It is  is situated in 'The Air Force Station' near the Lower Mall region about 4 kilometre from the centre of town. According to myth at the Ramayana while Lord Hanuman was returning from the Himalayas after acquiring "Sanjivani Booti", touched the hill by one of His foot.
Due to high security, no mobile phone, camera etc. is allowed and you are required to carry one ID proof.

Due to time constraint so didn’t go upto the Monkey Point. We just ate loads of paranthas at the canteen and bid adieu to Kasauli. We started our journey back to Delhi. The weather was cool and refreshing and we swiftly started our road trip expedition.
The entire road trip was of 1285 km and thus concluded ONE HELLUVA TRIP!!!
